Train without the traditional gi and embrace a more dynamic and fast-paced approach to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Although Gi Jiu Jitsu and No-Gi are closely related, they are distinct disciplines that require specialized training. No-Gi is practiced without the traditional jiu-jitsu gi or kimono, typically wearing just a rash guard and shorts. This creates a more dynamic and fast-paced environment where speed, agility, and the ability to control your opponent are crucial, as there are no grips on the fabric to rely on.

Our approah is to mix wrestling techniques for stand-up with Jiu-Jitsu techniques for ground work, offering a balanced and effective grappling game. Classes are held three times a week — Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:30 AM — ensuring a consistent and intensive training experience.
While this group is better suited for those with at least one year of experience, beginners are also welcome in our No-Gi BJJ group, just keep in mind that most members will be more experienced.
No-Gi BJJ training at Riga Grapling Club is a combination of wrestling and jiu-jitsu and the sessions are quite intense.
You can train at any age and in our group both teenagers and men over 40 train together.
For No-Gi training, a t-shirt and shorts will be enough. Many also prefer to use a mouth guard.
